Aluminum Frame Patio Gazebos With Heavy-Duty Polyester Canopies

Aluminum frame patio gazebos are great for shade and shelter on your patio or deck. Aluminum is a highly durable, rust-resistant metal that weathers the outdoors well. It’s also quite lightweight, meaning that your patio gazebo can be easily moved or transported anywhere you see fit. But some aluminum frame gazebos are flimsy and weak because the metal frame supports are too thin and cheaply made. The gazebo cannot stand up to wind, or even a light breeze without collapsing. Lattice Gazebos Add Sophisticated Charm to Your Yard

Lattice gazebos look particularly lovely in a garden or backyard. Most gazebos you see have rails or posts, or solid walls. Lattice is a unique look. Using lattice work in a gazebo’s construction still creates a sense of privacy and enclosure, but the openwork of the wood lattice walls allows sunlight and air to easily pass through, creating a feeling of airy spaciousness. The lattices invite one to plant decorative climbing vines or roses around the gazebo, helping it to blend in with the landscape and make it look like it’s always been there. The only thing missing from this pic are plants around the gazebo; it’s a little naked to me. They would help soften the base and anchor the structure in the landscape. But I want you to admire the cool latticework for now…;-)

Lattice gazebos are great to use as a spa or hot tub enclosure because they offer a measure of privacy while letting in cool summer breezes and dappled sunlight. Silence After The Storm (But Not For Long)

No, I wasn’t on vacation - at least not a planned one.

We’ve had a long run of massive thunderstorms over the past 2 - 3 weeks. A baaaad ‘jamma came through the last weekend of June with incredible lightning and with one horrible strike fried my trusty computer (aaarrgh!) and two TVs, short-circuited my fridge, killed the phone service, took out the attic exhaust fan (dang, it’s hot here) and all but blasted the sprinkler control panel off the basement wall. It’s a miracle that my house didn’t burn down. Some houses in the area have burned down in these storms - but for grace, there go I.

So I’ve had to patiently shop around for a tech bargain to get back online. I finally found a great laptop which now allows me to work anywhere in the house or outside (yay!) on my wireless connection.  My old hard drive was fortunately spared damage. I had it remade into an external drive with all my data intact. I’m all hooked up and back to blogging. Talk soon.
